The KARIMALIS Family always knew that
Yiannis (YA-nee) was especially talented. He was an artistic
prodigy with a classical ballet background.
Yiannis began his hair styling career at the age of fourteen
in Athens, Greece. He trained in Athens, Paris and London
before moving to America in 1970. He met and married Patricia
Lambrou of Metro Detroit, and they settled in the Detroit
area.
Yiannis become well known very quickly and was called the
"Stylist
of the Stars" because of his client base. His jet-setting
lifestyle has kept him in contact with a wide client base that includes
movie stars, royalty, and celebrities. He tends to the hair dressing
needs of many local anchors, reporters, and even works for
royal command performances.
Yiannis was invited by Governor John Engler to sit on the Michigan State Board
of Cosmetology. |
